I was looking for a backpack that I could wear around the house to garden etc. I did not want a hiking backpack because they are HUGE and if you try to put it on in the house and turn around you take out anything close to you. This backpack was exactly what I wanted. I can put it on myself, so when my hubby isn't here to help me I can still use it. It allows my daughter to sit up and look around and not be pinned against me like a ERGO baby carrier style does. I can wear it in the house and not worry about it hitting anything when I walk and turn around. The only bad thing I can say is the kickstand is pretty flimsy so you have to be careful when you use it.

That's the best way to carry a baby when they are over 6 months old. I had one like this one when I was raising my kids, it was wonderful. Now that I'm taking care of my granddaughter, I was desperately seeking for a similar baby backpack until I found this one. Absolutely the best! They peek everything you do so they don't get bored. They are comfortable, enjoying and even interacting with the environment, safely. The waist belt is a must for the wearer, for an evenly distribution of the baby's weight, so that your shoulders don't get hurt. I bought this one because it was extremely cheap, compared to the ones with a waist band, but ordered separately a back pack replacement waist band that fit it.

I bought this carrier for myself since it has a feminine pattern. My husband took one look at it and was like 'let me try that thing'. He loves it, the baby loves it, I love it. Our daughter is almost 8 months and probably weighs around 16-17 pounds. She now refuses to play in her bouncer while I prepare dinner as she wants to be in the pack so she can look over my shoulder at what is going on. My husband loves it because he finds it way more comfortable than the baby bjorn and he can actually use his hands. We live in a city so we do a fair amount of walking. Our daughter will ride along calmly in this giving all the passerby's flirtatious baby grins. If she gets sleepy she'll just rest her head against your neck and nap. The only down side so far is that she likes to stand on the bar in the back and sometimes will dig her feet in to your back or kick you. I'm not sure how that could be avoided with any backpack though. We're both slim adults: 5'5" and 5'8" and the pack is a good fit for us. The backpack it a better option than the stroller when shopping since the stroller can be difficult to negotiate in tight spots. We've found a winner with this pack. I had considered an Ergo or other more 'wearable' type of pack but I don't think my husband would have been as interested in one of those so I'm happy I went with this.
