The new Adventure 7 features a youthful, modern and sleek design that, for security, does not look like a camera bag. I purchased the Tamrac 5547 after extensive research on backpack camera bags. The construction is great, with lots of room and compartments for your camera equipment. The padding in the camera compartment is stiff and robust without being unforgiving. I carry a Minolta Maxxum 7 with 2 lenses, extra batteries, several lens filters and rolls of film and other accessories, and there's plenty of room. I pack my external flash into the web pocket in the upper compartment, and use the front pocket for pens, notepads, and other items. With all of that in the pack, there's still plenty of room up top for a jacket or sweatshirt, plus snacks or lunch if you're taking a day trip. I would highly recommend this pack to anyone who likes to take their camera on day hikes, zoo trips, or any other day trip, and still have room for other items.

I bought this for my new Nikon D5100 when I went hiking in the Grand Canyon. The camera fits well enough and the size of the camera compartment allows me to bring three lens along with a few other odds and ends. It is water resistant which comes in handy while hiking and the pack is comfortable enough to take on longer trips. I particularly like the backpack-like nature of this pack. It hold snacks and water and has a nice solid base so it doesn't fall over if you leave it standing upright.

I love this backpack! I've used the bag several times so far and it works beautifully for me. The top compartment holds more than I thought it would (sweatshirt, rain jacket, keys, cellphone). The bottom holds all the equipment I need. I'm newly into this hobby and I'm able to carry a camera (Nikon D5100) with lens attached, an extra lens and various accessories with room to spare. Extra mesh pockets on the outside are tight but hold little extras securely. Bonus: went to a few concerts and the bottom with the camera was totally overlooked on the bag search. This backpack is perfect for my needs.
